Apple just announced the latest Mac Studio at WWDC which comes with the brand new M2 Ultra Bionic chipset for even more power.
The Mac Studio has finally been announced at the Apple WWDC keynote event. Other key Mac products to be revealed include the MacBook Air 15-inch (2023), which the company claims is the thinnest 15-inch laptop ever made.
This updated Mac Studio can be configured with the M2 Max or the newly announced M2 Ultra chipset, with the latter being 6x faster than the most powerful Intel-based iMac, according to Apple.

Release Date
The Mac Studio was released at WWDC. It is currently available to pre-order from the Apple website, with shipping starting in the middle of June.
Price
The Mac Studio has a starting price of $1999.99/£2099 for the M2 Max model, with the top-end M2 Ultra model costing $3999.99/$4199. These prices will fluctuate depending on which configuration you go for, including the storage and unified memory.
Specs
The Mac Studio can be configured with either the M2 Max or the M2 Ultra chipsets. The M2 Ultra is a brand-new chip announced at WWDC and is the most powerful in the M2 family.
The M2 Ultra comes with up to a 76-core GPU and a 24-core CPU and is up to six times faster than the fastest Intel-based iMac. Apple also claims that is 25% faster at processing than M1 Macs, and 50% faster at video processing than the M1 Ultra.
It has support for up to three 8K displays, six 6K displays and eight 4K displays, all at a 60Hz refresh rate. This further shows the pure power of the M2 Ultra, making it the best pick for creative professionals that will be engaging in particularly graphically intensive workloads.
The M2 Max model comes with a 12-core CPU and a 30-core GPU, alongside a 16-core Neural Engine. This makes it less capable than its M2 Ultra sibling, but still more than powerful enough for most creative workloads.
The Mac Studio comes with a 10Gb Ethernet port, HDMI 2.1 support, four USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports as well as an SDXC slot. In terms of storage, it boasts up to 8TB, alongside up to 192GB unified memory and up to 800GB/s memory bandwidth. There is also support for both Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
