I was reminded this morning, due to a flood of comment spam on the post in question, that Mrs. Robbo was displeased with me after I put up a spoof of Twilight, entitled Twilight with Cheeseburgers. I'm going to try and make amends by posting this.
It's the New Moon trailer, which premiered at the MTV Movie Awards last night.
While I think it's cool that we actually got to see Jacob phase, the secrecy surrounding the werewolves was a rather large plot point in the book. Interesting that they've blown that to bits---along with Jacob's clothes---in the first trailer they released.
Ah, anyway, I suspect the Robbo household will be much happier today, with more Edward available than in months past.
General Motors files for bankruptcy protection.
Given the terms of the deal, which suck tremendously, one can only hope that the bankruptcy court judge on whose docket this is placed has armor-plated cajones the size of cannon balls and tells the adminstration and the UAW to eff off.
Because a bankruptcy court judge is, quite literally, the only thing standing between a fair settlement, where those listed on the debtors' matrix filed with the court this morning actually get an equitable settlement, and an outcome where the federal government owns 72% of a car company and the debtors receive squat.
I know the Obama adminstration has tried to stipulate the hell out of this deal before GM even filed, to prevent this exact outcome, but still...a judge has the ability to shoot it to hell. One can only hope they choose to do so.
